Job Summary
Knife Sharpening Equipment Operator on 3rd shift responsible for setting up and operating knife sharpening equipment to achieve precise edges and meet sharpness specifications. Includes utilizing the Anago knife tester for pre/post-sharpening tests, maintaining knife inventory and detailed shift records, adhering to safety protocols with PPE, and managing the physical demands of handling sharp equipment and heavy machinery. Strong emphasis on quality control, safety, inventory accuracy, and clear documentation; experience in manufacturing or production is preferred and prior Tyson background-check processes may apply.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months
- experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred
- attention to detail for quality control and record-keeping
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- ability to comply with safety protocols and PPE requirements
