Job Summary
Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the physician, under supervision. Perform medication preparation and documentation in accordance with nursing standards, facility policies, and state requirements. Maintain accurate charts and reports; participate in QA programs and committees to improve medication safety. Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and administrators; report medication errors and resident grievances; ensure proper labeling, receipt, and disposal of medications; verify resident identity before treatment; maintain resident confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Requires a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training; duties include observation, documentation, and participation in continuing education to maintain certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Medication Aide

- Current certification/licensure as Medication Aide
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business material; ability to write reports and procedure manuals
