Conduct primary coding of ICD and OPS codes, including supplementary payments, new examination and treatment methods, and complex codes in the DRG fee range based on patient records. Review, complete, and correct § 301 data, while verifying patient file documentation completeness for billing purposes and approving settlements. Process and handle payer inquiries and MD opinions, creating medical justifications in collaboration with physicians. Serve as the contact point for physicians, nursing staff, and therapeutic personnel regarding coding, documentation, and stay duration optimization.
