Job Summary
Develop complete estimates for large, complex industrial projects by reviewing civil deliverables, RFP documents, and contract specifications to identify cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and discipline teams to eliminate gaps in technical deliverables, analyze deviations from industry norms, and suggest alternatives that optimize constructability. Generate and review RFP packages for engineered equipment and subcontracts, assist with major technical problems during bid preparation, and lead estimate review presentations. Work during normal operating hours with overtime and weekends as required to meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in construction-related Technology or Engineering OR extensive and related work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities described above
- 5+ years of experience in a related role bidding industrial projects is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Work well as a team player with the desire to win the project
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Work overtime and weekends as required
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
