Job Summary
Kitting Associate at MCC responsible for gathering, kitting and staging all components for upcoming production orders to be set-up on press, and assisting Operators during changeovers. Role requires learning inventory processes, press terminology, company software, and accurately preparing kits for each production job while following the press schedule and work orders. Will assist with changeover activities, disassemble kits for storage, and act as a resource to reduce downtime and boost productivity. Also monitors inventory levels of auxiliary supplies, manages scrap/waste, ensures color matching to Pantone guides, and communicates issues to co-workers and supervisors. Emphasizes adherence to safety and Lean/6S practices and participation in process improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and SOPs in English
- Must be able to present information to team
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Basic computer skills
- Willing to work OT and weekends as scheduled
- Extremely trustworthy, flexible, and dependable with a good attendance history
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to accurately complete high volumes of work
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment with a focus on 6S and Lean practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulness
