Job Summary
Kitter on 1st shift responsible for organizing kits based on load schedules and determining parts availability using ERP systems. Reads work orders to determine kitting requirements, prioritizes kits, and labels/load schedules in collaboration with the Fab and Maintenance teams. Uses ERP tools (e.g., Mainstar, JD Edwards) and Bill of Materials to identify materials, coordinates with supervisors, and prepares production kits consisting of raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies, and related items. Maintains forklift certifications and conducts regular equipment checks to ensure safe operation; assists with loading/unloading up to 40 pounds and participates in preventative maintenance checks on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. Maintains safe, organized work areas, supports production through overtime as needed, and complies with safety regulations. Requires general arithmetic, ability to read instructions and BOMs, and proficiency with PC-based applications; physical demands include standing/walking, lifting, overhead work, and exposure to plant environments. The role is with Environmental Solutions Group – Marathon Equipment, Vernon, AL, reporting to Production Supervisor, and involves coordinating material flow to meet production requirements with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and manual dexterity for material handling
