Job Summary
Kitchen Team Member responsible for prep/cook/slice menu items, proper dating/labeling and rotation of prepped items, ensuring sanitation and safety, assisting with dishwashing and takeout orders, and delivering a high-quality guest experience. Roles may include cook, sandwich maker, prep, and slicer. Must maintain safety standards, understand the menu, pass a menu knowledge test with 75% or better, support food and labor cost control, and uphold professional appearance and company policies. Training in dishwashing, carry out, hosting, and general customer service with flexibility in duties and shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Some high school education
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
- Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages of the guests who typically visit the work location
- Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to learn standard kitchen and food preparation procedures and organization
- No previous foodservice experience required (though helpful)
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
