Kitchen Support Expert Supervisor - Steward Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee opening/closing duties, inventory and stock requisitions, and ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety across kitchens, restaurants, room service, banqueting, and lounges. Assist the Chief Steward in day-to-day operations and lead staff in attaining company standards, including safety and quality objectives. Manage hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees; serve as a role model for the Open Door policy. Ensure professional appearance, protect assets, support guest service and accessibility for individuals with disabilities, communicate clearly, build positive teamwork, and drive efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings initiatives. Read and verify information, inspect tools/equipment, and perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Follow all safety and security policies, complete required paperwork and maintenance orders, and report accidents or unsafe conditions. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and uphold Marriott’s equal opportunity and non-discrimination policies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma
- Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- License or Certification: Food Safety certification course
