Job Summary
Kitchen Supervisor for Naia in Chicago leads prep kitchen operations in a high-volume restaurant, trains and supervises prep cooks, ensures recipes/portion standards/quality are met, maintains food safety and sanitation compliance, coordinates daily workflow and production priorities, and supports inventory and cost-control initiatives. Must be able to work overnight or early morning shifts, stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Requires 3+ years of kitchen leadership and a valid Food Handler Certification. Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with management, and ensure an inspection-ready kitchen.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, commissary, catering, or production kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Food Handler Certification required
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overnights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
