Job Summary
Supervise all line cooks during service, ensuring proper set up and breakdown of the service area while maintaining sanitary work zones and correct food storage. Set up stations, collect supplies, and ensure sufficient stock levels for meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold items before each shift. Close the kitchen correctly, follow closing checklists, and assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of walk-in coolers and storage areas per Legends Global guidelines. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and mentor staff to better service standards. Open or close any food service area and make the Executive Chef aware of food or HR issues. Work in a fast-paced environment with moderate physical demands involving standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to heat, noise, and kitchen elements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Serve-Safe certified
- Ability to take directions and effectively perform the work
- At least (3) years' experience in a food service preparing meals
- At least (2) years' kitchen managers experience
- Ability to produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, customer service-oriented attitude
- Strong knowledge of sanitary practices
- Ability to keep a clean workstation and work effectively
- Work ethics encourage strong urgency and quality in a team environment
- Ability to work with other staff members in the facility
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
- Attention to detail
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Moderate physical efforts
- Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing
- Lifting of weights up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to move around the facility
- Stand for long hours during events

- Work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events
