Job Summary
Coordinates cleaning efforts of F&B staff not engaged in cooking duties to ensure clean and efficient food service areas. Assigns dishwashing duties, establishes a silverware cleaning schedule, inspects kitchen and related areas for cleanliness, maintains inventories of china, silverware, linens, and glassware, reports shortages and coordinates requisitions, and collaborates on preventative maintenance with the Executive Chef and facilities personnel. May assist in other areas of the F&B operation and with banquets or special events. Requires strong math skills, basic computer skills (including Excel), knowledge of kitchen equipment, health standards and proper temperatures for food storage, good verbal and written communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years previous experience working in a food preparation capacity
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit
- Prefer a SERV SAFE certification
