Job Summary
Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized. Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedures, then store them in designated locations. Replace clean items in storage with care to minimize breakage. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, restaurant, back dock, and dumpster areas by sweeping, mopping floors, and emptying garbage into the hotel dumpster. Assist kitchen staff in maintaining storage areas and ensure proper food storage and rotation. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager. This role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
