Job Summary
Responsible for receiving, dating and rotating stock and overseeing proper operations and sanitation of dish-room. Responsibilities include accurate receiving and logging of all food and non-food products, proper dating and rotation in storage, notifying Executive Chef of discrepancies, maintaining dish machine temperature logs, handling chemicals appropriately, overseeing food waste/recycling and sustainability efforts, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following food handling and storage procedures per Federal/State/local regulations and Company policies, complying with time/attendance policies, understanding ISO Health & Safety standards, and participating in fostering a positive teamwork environment. Requires ServSafe or equivalent certification and ability to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts; physical ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of food preparation and storage, sanitation requirements and commercial kitchen equipment
- Obtain ServSafe or equivalent certification as required by Company policy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with many personality types in a positive and productive way
- Be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts as requested
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
