Job Summary
Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure china, glass, and silver are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedures, then store them in designated locations. Replace clean china, glass, and silver in their proper storage areas while minimizing breakage. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, restaurant, back dock, and dumpster areas by sweeping, mopping floors, and emptying garbage into the hotel dumpster. Perform other assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
