Job Summary
Kitchen Staff Substitute position handling essential kitchen duties on an as-needed basis, including setting up serving lines, food prep per menu/recipes, operating slicers/mixers/grinders, maintaining temperature protocols, FIFO inventory, dishwashing, and assisting with baked goods. Responsibilities include keeping areas clean and organized, handling food and supply requests with the Kitchen Manager, ensuring HACCP/CACFP compliance, monitoring temperatures, preparing items for service, presenting food attractively, supporting customer service with hospitality, and participating in required training. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) or related experience, ability to follow standardized recipes, operate standard kitchen equipment, and work in a team to support meal service across a multi-state Midwest environment.
