Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Knowledge of general cooking procedures, including weights, measurements, and volume
• •Experience with cleaning, dishwashing, sanitization, and food preparation
• •Experience working in a kitchen

• •Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high stress
• •Self-motivated, learns quickly and multitasks efficiently
• •Maintain punctual and consistent attendance
• •Ability to maintain stationary (e.g., standing) for extended periods of time frequently and be on your feet for up to 8 hours per shift
• •Ability to work in elevated temperatures
• •Ability to move and lift supplies, equipment, boxes, and other items up to 50 pounds from the floor to shelves, under the counter, and up a set of stairs frequently
• •Ability to reach items under counter and overhead on shelves frequently
• •Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions frequently
• •Indoor fast-paced caf� setting
• •Weekends preffered, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4;00 PM - other days and shifts also available
• •Must be bi-lingual and speak Spanish and English

Desired Qualifications

• •Restaurant/kitchen experience preferred but not required
• •Ability to work quickly to fill orders with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and as a member of a team
• •Ability to Keep the Caf� Manager updated on low or out-of-stock items by anticipating store and customer needs
• •Ability to Receive and review all kitchen vendor orders
• •Ability to Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including a deep cleaning on weekends
• •Ability to Clear tables of dishes, cups, and trash and remove bus bins from condiment bars
• •Ability to Stock expresso bar with coffee mugs, glasses, and small wares
• •Ability to Ensure all plates, glassware, and silverware are properly cleaned and sanitized
• •Ability to Daily wipe and restock the condiment bar and retail shelving
• •Ability to Routinely clean the bar area (including the steam wand) and grinders
• •Ability to Sweep and vacuum floors and clean caf� windows
• •Ability to Remove trash from the caf� area and kitchen area
• •Ability to Ensure customers are warmly received and welcomed and engaged in sincere and friendly conversation
• •Ability to Respond to questions/orders/concerns in a professional manner
• •Ability to Actively participate in training sessions to advance your food and beverage education
• •Ability to Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• •Ability to Respond proactively to prevent negative customer service situations
