Job Summary
Kitchen Staff needed to prepare and serve breakfast and/or lunch, assist with serving lines, and participate in occasional catering. Will perform all kitchen roles, set up serving lines, stock milk coolers, prep foods per menu/recipes, operate equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders) with proper certification, and maintain FIFO inventory. Responsibilities include batch cooking for quality presentation, presenting items to customers, keeping areas clean, and ensuring food is held at proper temperatures. Must comply with HACCP and food safety logs, follow HHFKA/CACFP regulations, and participate in required trainings. Include cash handling duties at service times and use the POS system. Strong emphasis on hospitality, core values, teamwork, and continual improvement. Requires ability to stand, lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, and work inside/outside conditions. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification
- Maintain FIFO inventory
- Follow HACCP procedures and food safety logs
- Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes
- Batch cook to maintain quality and presentation
- Stand for long periods and handle physical tasks (lift up to 60 pounds)
- Cash handling and POS system use
- Attend required training hours and meetings
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow safety procedures and HHFKA/CACFP regulations
- Submit daily production records
