Job Summary
Kitchen Staff to join our fast-paced Dairy Queen kitchen team in Ballwin, MO. Responsibilities include assembling and presenting completed orders, stocking and maintaining prep/back-of-house areas to health and safety standards, cleaning and sanitizing work spaces, and operating restaurant equipment. Must read order monitors, work well under pressure, handle products across raw, frozen, and cooked states, lift up to 50 pounds, move items between temperatures, and communicate clearly with co-workers to ensure accurate service. Team-focused duties include proper product rotation, prep work, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to local health regulations while delivering prompt, friendly customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Able to move cases of food/paper products up to 50 pounds up to 10 times per six-hour shift
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant
- Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges
- Ability to handle raw, frozen, and cooked food products and maintain temperature control
- Interact with the public and co-workers constantly during shifts
- Read order monitors
- Clean up after all kinds of messy situations
- Practice established food handling procedures and meet local health regulations
- Exhibit proper personal hygiene and positive attitude
- Communicate clearly with co-workers to ensure correct orders are served
- Prepare food products following health and safety standards quickly and accurately
- Operate and maintain restaurant equipment safely and in accordance with standards
- Work as a team to ensure quality, service, cleanliness, and value
- Stock and rotate products appropriately
- Complete assigned prep work for stocking and setup
- Break down and clean assigned area daily
- Inform supervisor promptly of problems or unusual matters of significance
- Perform other duties as requested by management
