Job Summary
Follow recipes and storyboards to prepare foods using proper methods, plating items when ordered, and unpacking received goods for timely delivery. Maintain a clean workstation and ensure food handling and sanitation procedures are followed, including frequent hand washing and glove use. Comply with standard portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen policies while promptly reporting equipment or food quality issues to management. Utilize prep lists and hot box charts with the manager to coordinate product delivery and adhere to all safety procedures. Stand for the entire shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist in other job categories as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period
- Have strong menu knowledge
- Have ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
- Possess dependability
- Have exceptional teamwork skills
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to taste and smell
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must have ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
