Job Summary
Follow recipes and storyboards to prepare foods using proper methods and plating recipes when ordered. Ensure food handling and sanitation procedures are followed while maintaining a clean workstation, including tables, shelves, ovens, and refrigeration equipment. Unpack and organize received goods promptly, utilizing prep lists and hot box charts with management to ensure timely product delivery. Report equipment and food quality problems to management immediately. Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including frequent hand washing and wearing gloves to prevent bare hand contact. Stand for the entire shift and walk for long periods while pushing, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Assist in other job categories as needed and perform all duties as assigned to support our farm-fresh dining experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period
- Have strong menu knowledge
- Have ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
- Possess dependability
- Have exceptional teamwork skills
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to taste and smell
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must have ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
