Job Summary
Kitchen Porter/General Assistant needed for a busy on-site kitchen and restaurant. Responsibilities include washing up pans and dishes by hand or in a dishwasher, handling deliveries and stock rotation, basic food prep, assisting chefs when required, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and potential serving at the counter using a till. Must be flexible to cover a Friday shift if required. Hours: 35 per week (Mon-Thu 8:00 am–3:30 pm; Fri 6:30 am–2:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break). Rate: £13.45 per hour. Benefits include 4 weeks holiday inclusive of bank holidays, free meal on shift, pension, Perkbox discounts, and bespoke training and development. Security clearance check may be required up to 6 weeks if offered. Some knowledge of working in a catering establishment is advantageous.
