Job Summary
Kitchen Porter role at Soho House’s Babington House in Frome, UK. Responsibilities include washing, rinsing, and sanitising all kitchen items (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, glassware) per daily needs; operating commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment per safety guidelines; maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas; disposing of kitchen waste properly and keeping areas tidy; adhering to Food Safety and Health & Safety policies (HACCP) and SOPs; supporting the kitchen team by replenishing stock and assisting during peak service times; handling kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals safely; aim to support hygiene and safety standards while contributing to a high-standard guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
