Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate kitchen operations by supervising cooks and kitchen workers, ensuring proper food presentation, portion control, and garnish to meet quality standards. Communicate menu specials and stock status to Food & Beverage service staff; assist in preparation of special meals and substitutes. Support cooks with tasks and provide needed items. Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program and product specifications, monitor stock levels, and notify management of any product issues. Contribute to hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff; enforce safety policies, confidentiality, asset protection, and professional communication. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies; manage guest service needs and foster positive working relationships to achieve team goals. Maintain physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring lifting up to 25 pounds. This posting is for an existing vacancy in the Delta Hotels Sault Ste.
