Job Summary
Perform routine-to-skilled repair, maintenance, modification, and installation of kitchen and food service equipment throughout the facility. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a logical, systematic manner by reading manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Maintain written records, logs, requisitions, and work orders while adhering to applicable codes, ordinances, and general safety rules. Possess three years of experience in refrigeration and food service equipment maintenance, including a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced level courses in refrigeration, electrical controls, appliance repair, similar technical training or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Three years experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and food service equipment
- Ability to repair, maintain, modify and install kitchen equipment
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams, with a basic understanding of blueprints
- Ability to reason and troubleshoot problems in a logical, systematic manner
- Ability to maintain and complete written records, logs, requisitions and work orders
- Basic understanding of applicable codes and ordinances
- Knowledge of general safety rules
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures
