Job Summary
Kitchen Manager for The Dirty Buffalo in Norfolk, VA, responsible for running a sharp back-of-house operation, leading by example on the line, expo, and in the kitchen, and delivering high-quality, consistent food. Key duties include leading and managing the back-of-house team, hiring/training/coaching staff, ensuring food quality and presentation, managing kitchen scheduling, labor targets, and productivity, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, running the line and expo as needed, enforcing brand standards and recipes, and communicating with FOH leadership and corporate partners. Requires kitchen leadership experience, a systems-driven approach, comfort in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, basic computer skills, and a long-term career orientation. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, not a clipboard-from-the-office job, with opportunities for growth as the brand expands. Location note: 4000 Colley Ave, Norfolk, VA.
