Job Summary
Kitchen Manager oversees back-of-house operations, including supervising food preparation, proper handling, storage, and safety; responsible for purchasing, receiving, prepping, and presenting all food products to standard; manages inventory, food costs, waste, and labor costs; assists with interviewing, hiring and training back-of-house staff; works under the General Manager in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; tasks include planning, problem-solving, and organization to ensure quality food and efficient kitchen operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of prior management experience in family or casual dining (preferred)
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification (preferred)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods
