Job Summary
Lead daily kitchen operations at PopStroke's Nashville venue, overseeing the culinary team to ensure high-quality food, efficient service, and adherence to standards. responsibilities include managing staff development and performance reviews, inventory and purchasing, cost controls (labor, food, beverage, utilities, and waste), scheduling and payroll administration, event production, menu item production and plating quality, sanitation and safety compliance, and ensuring proper food storage and cleaning schedules. Maintain accurate culinary schedules, oversee station setup, and manage ticket times and waste prevention. Direct hiring and supervision, provide ongoing coaching, orientation, and training on the PopStroke philosophy, and ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance. Requires a minimum of 7 years of kitchen experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role; culinary degree strongly preferred; Serve Safe Manager certification; proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter with a minimum of 3 years in a management/supervisor role
- Culinary degree strongly preferred
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proficient in restaurant functions including purchasing, sanitation, safety, personnel management, and reporting
- Active Serve Safe Manager certificate
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook competencies
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
