Job Summary
Kitchen Manager at Flour Bakery + Cafe leads the kitchen operations for a Flour location, working with the owner and the Flour team to uphold the Flour mission. Day-to-day duties include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and pastry/savory displays, internal/external ordering and par sheets for both savory and pastry, executing daily food prep tasks, and leading monthly/holiday pastry specials. The role supports the FOH Manager, reports to the Executive Chef and Exec Pastry Chef, and focuses on sustaining product quality, staff coaching and development, scheduling to manage BOH costs, equipment upkeep, and ensuring timely delivery of menu items. The KM participates in training new staff and helping manage workload to maintain high performance and succession planning; schedule is 6am-3pm, 5 days per week including at least one weekend day; compensation starts around $57,000 annually with a range of $55,000-$78,000. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401k with match, paid time off, and staff meals.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of food service experience, back of house experience preferred
- At least one year of management or supervisory experience in a professional kitchen preferred
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

- Excellent attendance, reliability, communication and interpersonal skills
