Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of a DoorDash-owned DashMart Kitchen within a DashMart fulfillment center, overseeing a team of Kitchen Associates and Shift Leads to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Balance hands-on culinary leadership with operational excellence—managing staffing, scheduling, food safety, inventory controls, and cross-training into DashMart operations. Collaborate with the Site Manager to lead multiple food concepts, drive process improvements, and maintain a safe, inclusive workplace. Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, performance management, ensuring recipes are executed accurately, maintaining par levels, and coordinating with cross-functional partners to optimize order flow, quality, and customer experience. Requires ServeSafe Manager certification (or willingness to obtain), 3+ years in a fast-casual or full-service restaurant environment, 1+ year leadership experience, and the ability to work late nights/weekends; proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a medium/high-volume fast-casual or full-service restaurant environment
- 1+ years of experience leading teams, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
- ServeSafe Manager certification (or willing to obtain)
- hands-on leader who motivates teams of 5+ employees
- ability to quickly learn inventory management systems (IMS), product flow, and fulfillment best practices within a multi-operation site
- ability to work late-night and weekend hours
- comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets to make decisions
