Job Summary
Lead Line Cook / Kitchen Lead for Campo Pizza (HOMES Pub Kitchen) in Ann Arbor, MI. Lead by example, set high standards, and jump in alongside the team to uphold a scratch-pizza program focused on Roman-style dough, fermentation, and meticulous prep. Collaborate with the Culinary Director to develop seasonal menus, champion Italian and Italian-fusion flavors, lead recipe testing and plating standards, and ensure consistency and quality. Build and coach a positive, high-performing kitchen team, train staff on new items and prep systems, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Maintain inventory, food costs, safety, and cleanliness; coordinate with FOH for a seamless guest experience. Contribute to kitchen systems, staff development, and ongoing improvements, while representing the kitchen in leadership discussions about quality and innovation. Salary range is $25-$30/hour, with benefits and room for growth; location is Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- deep appreciation and working knowledge of pizza or Italian-adjacent cuisine
- proven success in team management, training, and kitchen organization
- experience in recipe development, costing, and execution in a high-volume setting
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement
