Job Summary
Kitchen Lead manages day-to-day kitchen operations, ensures recipes and prep standards are followed, maintains food safety and quality, leads shifts, coordinates with front-counter, controls labor usage, monitors waste, and coaches team members to uphold company standards. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, ensuring portion accuracy, maintaining cleanliness and health-code compliance, overseeing dishwashing and equipment sanitation, implementing labor plans, tracking waste, supporting inventory checks, and promoting seasonal menu items. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and guest satisfaction within a high-energy kitchen environment. Minimum kitchen leadership experience and ServSafe (or willingness to obtain) are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in restaurant, foodservice, or kitchen leadership preferred
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
- Minimum of prior kitchen leadership experience required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and varied shifts
- Able to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
