Job Summary
Kitchen Helper assists the Head Chef with food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, measuring) and maintains kitchen cleanliness (sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, disposing of waste, organizing utensils and tools). Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, storing ingredients per food safety standards, and adhering to hygiene and safety standards. Requires ability to stand long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and travel up to 10%. Must obtain a Food Handler's license within 30 days. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life. Location: Brownwood, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months related kitchen experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to obtain Food handler's license within 30 days of employment
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances
