Job Summary
Prepare, serve, and clean food for students during the 6:00am to 1:30pm shift, cooking, baking, and portioning meals as assigned. Sanitize utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment while performing general cleaning duties. Act as a cashier for lunch, assemble machines, count money, order supplies, and secure food for shipment. Adjust to a dynamic environment by maintaining productivity while handling additional essential tasks. Interact positively with students, staff, and supervisors. A high school diploma is required, with school kitchen experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and others
- Ability and willingness to follow work instructions in all areas of foodservice and maintain a positive attitude toward the foodservice program
- Ability to report to work on time and notify manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work
