Job Summary
Kitchen Expeditor ensures quality and presentation of dishes, acts as the bridge between front and back of the house, and coordinates assembly to meet recipes/procedures and guest needs. Maintains stocked line, communicates with service and kitchen staff, reads tickets, aims for timely order delivery, stays calm under pressure, and motivates the team to move quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities include presenting and assembling dishes per standards, restocking plates and silverware, and ensuring smooth operations and guest service.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age.
- At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
- Must be clean, organized and able to project his or her voice.
- Must be quick and deliberate.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
