Kitchen Equipment Service Technician

Job Summary
Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to deliver complete service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and specialized food service equipment. Diagnose and repair appliances using diagrams and schematics, communicate with manufacturers for parts identification, and install customer-ordered parts in compliance with professional standards. Complete administrative tasks including work orders, time tracking, and truck stock inventory management while maintaining a clean service vehicle. Follow safety protocols and accident prevention procedures. This role requires frequent on-call rotation including nights and weekends, occasional overnight travel, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
- Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e. EPA, CFESA)
- Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience
- Self-motivated with the proven ability prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision
