Job Summary
Entry-level Lodge Kitchen Crew at Pinkham Notch (AMC). Responsibilities include maintaining the buffet, drink machines, and snack bar; assisting cook on-duty during meal services; greeting and assisting guests; setting up and breaking down meal services; dishwashing, cleaning and organizing; supporting inventory and order tasks; interacting with guests about local information and lodge amenities; leading or assisting “dinner talks”; and other duties as assigned. Must be a team player with strong customer service and communication skills, flexible scheduling, and the physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand up to 8 hours. Up to 38 hours per week. Salary starting point is $13.00/hour with room & board benefits (dorm-style room for $75/week with meals included) and additional benefits such as insurance eligibility, retirement contributions, paid time off, merchandise discounts, and AMC membership.
Required Qualifications
- Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and interest to learn required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and kindly.
- Flexibility regarding schedule is required.
- Knowledge of the White Mountain National Forest area is desirable.
- Must be a team player, detail oriented, well organized, highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
- Physical abilities needed: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, bend and kneel, and ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
