Job Summary
Cook and prepare food while displaying products to ensure freshness, rotation, and well-stocked shelves for customers. Greet, assist, and thank shoppers promptly, answering product questions and preparing special orders. Collaborate with the kitchen manager to plan daily menus and guarantee outstanding product quality and presentation. Process merchandise according to production guidelines, maintaining strict sanitation standards and rotating inventory using the first-in, first-out method. Monitor cooler and display temperatures, reporting refrigeration failures immediately. Clean utensils, work tables, walls, and display cases, and practice proper safety practices when operating equipment like grills, fryers, and slicers. Work a schedule based on business needs, successfully completing onboarding and e-learning checklists within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful experience in the kitchen operation (i.e. line cooking, merchandising, ordering, inventory, and pricing)
- 3-5 years of professional cooking experience in the food industry
- Complete training in the kitchen operation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work a scheduled based on the business needs of the store location
- Authorized to work within the U.S.
