Job Summary
Prepare breakfast and lunch menus while following chef manager instructions to ensure smooth service operations. Set up stations, cook healthy and appealing food, and maintain optimal use of ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment including food processors, slicers, ovens, steamers, fryers, and grills while using knives effectively. Maintain clean work areas and ensure all food items are properly identified and dated according to MAPAQ and management health and safety standards. Participate in supervisor-requested tasks and pass required written and practical tests. This part-time role offers competitive pay and ongoing training within Sodexo's diverse, green-focused team.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years cooking experience
- Grade XII education
- Ability to lift pans of food, stock, and hot pans
- Knowledge of how to operate a food processor, meat slicer, convection ovens, steamer, fryer, grill
- Skill in using a knife
- Ability to pass written and practical tests for this position
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with Catering, Grab and Go and baking
