Job Summary
Design functional, innovative kitchen and bath spaces tailored to client needs using industry-standard software to create detailed plans, layouts, and specifications. Consult with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and contractors to understand project goals, guide clients through cabinetry selections and finishes, and manage the full lifecycle from initial consultation to final order placement. Develop strong relationships with trade professionals and support local marketing initiatives to drive sales growth while collaborating with project management teams to ensure designs align with budgets and schedules. Track project progress, maintain documentation, and ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales and design process.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Kitchen & Bath Design, preferably within custom residential construction or luxury home environments
- Demonstrated success designing and selling custom cabinetry solutions
- Experience working directly with homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, design principles, and space planning
- Clear knowledge of the differences between custom, semi-custom, and stock cabinetry
- Experience working with fully custom cabinetry solutions
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to build trust and guide clients through significant design investments
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management abilities
- Comfortable working toward sales goals and business development objectives
- Proficiency with kitchen and bath design software, CAD programs, and related drafting tools
- Ability to create detailed plans, elevations, renderings, and specifications
- Creative design vision with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for client satisfaction and business growth
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) certification or equivalent industry credentials
- Experience in luxury residential design-build environments
- Background in custom home construction and residential remodeling projects
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with fully custom cabinetry solutions is strongly preferred
