Job Summary
Open and close the Drury Plaza Hotel Kitchen+Bar following company policies while maintaining the food prep and bar area in a clean, organized manner. Serve and assist guests, presenting a high standard of integrity and hospitality to promote the Drury culture. Answer questions about the hotel, local area, and events using general knowledge. Mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment while operating POS software, cash registers, and kitchen equipment. Handle money, make change, and utilize office machines for daily activities. Perform duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server as needed. Distinguish between currency denominations and obtain necessary supplies for cocktail mixing. Clean and maintain responsible areas, diplomatically handling difficult situations with guests and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years old or older
- One experience bartending required
- Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements
- Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in normal day-to-day activities
- Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc
- Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make appropriate change
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of bartender experience preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of two years of college preferred
