Job Summary
Part-time Kitchen Assistant at The Capital District YMCA's Schenectady Men's Residence. Under supervision of the Residence Food Service Supervisor, assists in all aspects of the meal program, follows directions, and supports cooking and food-prep activities. Duties reflect quantity food service, catering, and banquet preparation. Proficiency with kitchen appliances and equipment is required. Preference given to candidates with culinary arts program enrollment or recent graduation and/or ServSafe certification.
Required Qualifications
- MUST be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficiency in using kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Cooking experience in a quantity food service capacity including catering and banquet preparation, or enrollment or newly graduated from a culinary arts program is preferred.
- A current ServSafe certification is preferred.
