Job Summary
Kitchen Assistant needed at NatureBridge for seasonal service in a buffet/cafeteria setup serving up to 200 guests. Responsibilities include front-of-house cleanliness and stocking, dishwashing, food prep such as washing and chopping fruits and vegetables, packaging/preparing ready-to-eat items, seasonal cleaning and light maintenance, and potential guest service tasks during programs. Must understand allergen management, follow FIFO for deliveries, maintain storage areas, monitor cooking and food storage temperatures per US public health standards, and perform lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires ability to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings; prior food service/guest service experience is preferred; candidate must obtain a state food handler’s card and pass a background check. Compensation is $18/hour with potential retention bonus and comprehensive benefits; seasonal May–November at Port Angeles, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings
- Experience in food service is highly desirable
- Experience in guest service facing roles is must
- Expected to acquire a state food handler’s card and maintain current status upon hire
- Must pass a background check to be eligible for employment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Openness to working in a seasonal environment May–November
