Job Summary
Ensure the front of the house is clean, stocked, and running smoothly for buffet or cafeteria style meal services for up to 200 people. Wash dishes, perform prep work including washing and chopping fresh produce, and package or portion ready-to-eat items. Prepare, serve, and clean up after meals while managing allergens and minimizing cross-contamination risks. Check in food deliveries, maintain organized storage areas using FIFO, and perform daily cleaning tasks like sweeping and scrubbing floors. Monitor and record cooking and food storage temperatures per U.S. public health standards, and handle physical tasks requiring lifting up to 50 pounds. Establish positive relationships with staff and guests while providing outstanding service. This seasonal role runs from May through November and includes potential guest service duties during certain programs.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and consistently to high standards
- Demonstrated ability to work cheerfully as part of a team under sometimes stressful conditions
- Must be willing and able to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings
- Experience in guest service facing roles
- Expected to acquire a state food handler's card and current upon hire
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
