Job Summary
The Kitchen Assistant will support Keystone Science School’s dining operations by assisting in meal preparation, service, and cleanup for up to 190 clients and staff. Under supervision of the Food Services Manager and Lead Cooks, duties include dishwashing, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, assisting with meal setup and service across formats (buffet, family-style, sandwich stations, outdoor barbecues, and off-site programs), and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. This is a part-time role (Tuesday–Friday) with morning and afternoon shifts (6am–10am and 3pm–7pm); requires ability to follow meal plans, handle high-volume workloads, and communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Required Qualifications
- 0 - 3 months experience in food service or kitchen operations.
- Must be 16 years or older and able to pass a background check.
