Job Summary
Kitchen Assistant at Jamul Casino responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment; maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area; sorting and storing clean dishes; assisting kitchen staff with waste removal and cleaning; ensuring dishwashing machines are stocked with detergent and operate efficiently; helping maintain kitchen cleanliness and appearance; adhering to food safety standards; assisting with other kitchen duties including food prep as needed; maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with team members and guests; following department and company policies; grooming standards; participating in all mandatory department and company-wide events; and obtaining/maintaining a Gaming License. Requires high school level education, standing for 8 hours, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime; on-site role in Jamul, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in commercial kitchen cleaning or dishwashing role preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
- Must have flexibility including evenings, weekends, holiday shifts, and overtime when needed
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License
