Job Summary
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas. Key duties include preparing, seasoning, and garnishing food, maintaining storage areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations, assisting with guest requests, and managing dish and glassware washing. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to follow recipes and control procedures. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and a Level 4 Gaming License is required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to work around mechanical moving parts
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb. frequently and 50 lb. occasionally
