Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant at Mesa Middle School within DCSD. Responsible for assisting in daily preparation of the school lunch program, setting up and cleaning serving areas, maintaining HACCP standards, proper use of kitchen equipment, and ensuring health department sanitation standards. Tasks include serving meals, recording food temperatures, following menu/recipe instructions, proper storage of delivered items, operating and reconciling a Point of Sale system, and contributing to positive community relations with staff, students, and parents. The role may travel to multiple schools and requires a flexible schedule; training includes USDA Professional Standards requirements and potential leadership of other kitchen staff.
