Job Summary
Kitchen Assistant at Camp Merrie Woode assists in preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintains kitchen sanitation and dishwashing, manages supplies and inventory, adheres to Serv-Safe and Michigan guidelines, and supports camp dining operations; position requires evenings and living on site for the June–August camp term with room and board included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in institutional or food service setting preferred
- Knowledge of standards of food preparation and serving, storage of food, and kitchen sanitation procedures
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification Preferred
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Background checks
- First Aid/CPR/AED or willingness to obtain
- Must become a member of Girl Scouts
- Belief in mission and values of Girl Scouts
- Passion for youth development
