Job Summary
Kitchen Assistant responsible for assisting with meal preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and storage areas, dishwashing, stocking, and inventory support in a residential behavioral healthcare facility. Requires ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds; work in a fast-paced team environment; prior food service or dietary/kitchen experience is preferred but not required. Shifts may include weekends, evenings, or holidays based on operational needs; adherence to food safety procedures and facility policies is essential. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience in food service, dietary services, or kitchen environments preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and carrying items
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries within a healthcare environment
