Job Summary
Kitchen Assistant needed to assist in the preparation and serving of meals; clean kitchen equipment and wash dishes; sweep, mop, and wax floors; assist in preparing meals, beverages, and snacks; wash and chop fruits and vegetables; mix beverages and arrange snacks; assist in serving meals with appropriate portions; wash, dry, and store pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils; clean tables and chairs; support event and program needs; perform other related work; early morning shift (4:30am–9:30am) in New Orleans area; must be able to meet attendance requirements, read/write English; work involves standing/walking, possible exposure to heat/cold in kitchen; benefits include Pension Plan and Personal Paid Time Off; education/experience: one year kitchen experience preferred or equivalent training/experience; licenses: ability to obtain Safe Serve Certification and Food Service Manager Certificate if required; equal opportunity employer: Veterans/Disabled; posting hints indicate New Orleans, LA locations.
Required Qualifications
- One year experience working in a kitchen preferred
